Arthur Rank Hospice supports people in Cambridgeshire living with a life-limiting illness and those who need end-of-life care. Our services are provided free of charge to patients and their families. Our aim is to provide the highest quality care, helping them to make every moment count.

We care for people at the Hospice in Cambridge, the day treatment centre in Wisbech and in patient’s own homes through the Arthur Rank Community team. The support provided by our inpatient unit, day therapy services and Hospice at Home is practical, holistic and tailored to the individual. Programmes may include psychological support, physiotherapy, complementary therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitative support, counselling, bereavement and spiritual support.

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity needs to secure £7.45 million every year to deliver our services free of charge to patients and their loved ones. About half of this currently comes from statutory sources with further funds raised through our Bistro, education services, conference facility and hairdressing salon. The remainder is raised thanks to the wider local community who are motivated to ensure that work of the hospice continues: amongst other things they donate to our shops, take part in our events, take on personal challenges, hold their own fundraisers or leave gift in their Will. We are constantly looking for new opportunities to sustain funds, so we can keep providing and developing our vital services long into the future.

Vans and volunteers needed to collaborate with Arthur Rank Hospice’s annual Christmas tree collection this January!

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is seeking more volunteers to help with their annual Christmas tree collection, which will be taking place on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 January, raising funds for the Hospice.

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity are looking for volunteers and van owners to help with their fourth annual Christmas tree recycling scheme on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 January. The Hospice Charity is urgently widening its search for helpers, as it has witnessed an unprecedented demand! Last year Arthur Rank Hospice Charity tree collection teams collected 1000 pre-loved trees, raising more than £12,600. 90% of the funds raised by the scheme help fund the Hospice’s care, supporting those living with a life-limiting illness in Cambridgeshire, with 10% donated a local cause nominated by the tree collection volunteers.
