Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end-of-life care. Its ‘Outstanding’ services are provided free of charge to patients and their families.

It will cost £8.56 million 2020/2021 to run services. £4.29 million has currently been secured from the NHS, meaning that £4.27 million needs to be raised through donations, fundraising activities and trading. The Charity is extremely grateful to the local community for the continual dedication, commitment and generosity they show in supporting towards meeting this target.

Ridgeons donates 500 stress balls to help with specialist care at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity

The East of England’s largest independent timber and builder’s merchants, Ridgeons, has recently donated 500 stress balls to the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. Worth £500, the donation comes after the Hospice applied to the business through the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation for stress balls to help patients in the Lymphoedema Clinic – an outpatient service based in the Hospice’s new Bradbury Wellness Centre. The clinic aims to improve patients’ lymphatic circulation and drainage using a range of specialist treatments and techniques including tight hosiery and exercise.
