Arthur Rank Hospice supports people in Cambridgeshire living with a life-limiting illness and those who need end-of-life care. Our services are provided free of charge to patients and their families. Our aim is to provide the highest quality care, helping them to make every moment count.

We care for people at the Hospice in Cambridge, the day treatment centre in Wisbech and in patient’s own homes through the Arthur Rank Community team. The support provided by our inpatient unit, day therapy services and Hospice at Home is practical, holistic and tailored to the individual. Programmes may include psychological support, physiotherapy, complementary therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitative support, counselling, bereavement and spiritual support.

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity needs to secure £7.45 million every year to deliver our services free of charge to patients and their loved ones. About half of this currently comes from statutory sources with further funds raised through our Bistro, education services, conference facility and hairdressing salon. The remainder is raised thanks to the wider local community who are motivated to ensure that work of the hospice continues: amongst other things they donate to our shops, take part in our events, take on personal challenges, hold their own fundraisers or leave gift in their Will. We are constantly looking for new opportunities to sustain funds, so we can keep providing and developing our vital services long into the future.

Remember loved ones with Arthur Rank Hospice on Sunday 2 December

This year’s Light Up a Life at Arthur Rank Hospice is sponsored by Peasgood & Skeates, East of England Cooperative Funeral Directors and Amazon. Donations from personal dedications will help the hospice raise the £8.1 million which needs to be secured every year, to help provide essential care to people living in Cambridgeshire with a life-limiting illness.

Arthur Rank Hospice is inviting members of the local community to join them for their special Light Up a Life service at the start of December. The poignant evening sees hundreds of lights on a beautiful Christmas Tree outside the Hospice, lit up – as hospice staff, volunteers, supporters, friends and family come together – to remember loved ones. The evening, which takes place on Sunday 2 December from 5pm, will see guests welcomed, with music courtesy of Ely City Military Band and Sing! Choirs (Ely, Newmarket and Cambridge).
