We are delighted to invite you to share in what promises to be a truly wonderful evening, combining several pleasures in one; wine, art and social networking rolled into one event. Join us for a fun evening with great company in the beautiful home of Alicia Zimnickas for a pre-Open Studios private tour. Open Studios Cambridge is a flourishing community of nearly 500 artists, craftspeople and designer-makers working throughout Cambridgeshire with the aim to help bring artists and local people together in the month of July.
Tine Roche, Founder of Cambridge Cookery and Bistro, specializes in organizing culinary trips to Italy. Italy offers a huge range of close to 1000 grape varieties and good quality wines and which vary from region to region. Most are still undiscovered outside Italy. This makes them very good value for money.
During the evening, Tine will take us on a tasting tour from Veneto in the north east, via Le Marche in the middle and finishing down south in Molise. You will taste Prosecco from Veneto, Verdiccio and Rosso Piceno from LeMarche and Biferno from Molise.
This wonderful indulgence is being combined with a studio tour with artist Alicia Zimnickas. Alicia combines her art with her interior design business. She works from her Cambridge studio and periodically releases a limited series of original acrylic and oil paintings. You will be able to admire her painting and the part nature, landscape and light is displayed so skillfully in her own unique painting techniques.

About Tine Roche and the Cambridge Cookery & Bistro: Tine Roche was born in Copenhagen and raised in Stockholm. She graduated from Uppsala University and shortly after moved to the UK where she went to Leiths to train as a chef and set up as a freelance consultant for large Scandinavian food producers looking for early global trend alerts. As part of travelling around the US with clients, Tine spotted an outdoor, corporate cookery event and thus sowed the first seed for her business. In 2008 Tine built her first kitchen offering cookery classes for the general public as well as high octane corporate and private events. In 2016 the Cambridge Cookery School expanded to incorporate a café, micro bakery, wine bar & bistro, committed to hand making food using small scale local and organic produce and to being as sustainable as possible. Cambridge Cookery & Bistro recently received a Silver award for its sustainability, commitment to local food, mission to cut down waste and weekly donations of meals for Jimmy’s homeless shelter using no longer perfect local & organic produce.
