What is the Rising Festival?

The Rising Festival 2021 will be virtual, supporting women to find their balance, wellness and full potential amidst the challenges of living through a global pandemic. Celebrating the 2021 International Women’s Day theme of #ChooseToChallenge, the Festival brings inspiring, globally renowned speakers, a multi-day mentorship programme, engaging workshops and a masterclass series direct to your device.

Alongside a supportive community of like-minded women, challenge your thinking, raise your aspirations, face challenges with resilience and overcome obstacles to achieve a life you thrive in. Join our global community at the Festival who #ChooseToChallenge for International Women’s Day, and receive support from a diverse, inclusive and uplifting group of women who want to see you succeed.

Throughout the event, challenge yourself in the areas of:

Want to access mentoring?

Most networking or events will put you in a room with inspiring people: not many enable you to have meaningful conversations. Our mentoring circles offer an intimate and supportive environment in which to receive feedback on the best way to progress towards your dreams and to navigate this “new norm” we are facing with COVID-19. Women are feeling more pressure at work and pressure from increased childcare and home schooling responsibilities.

Our mentoring sessions have been designed to help you to nurture your mental health and wellbeing, and to offer tools and access to mentors who will help you to navigate these additional pressures you are facing. All our mentoring sessions are part of the standard ticket for the festival, sessions included are:

You should attend if you:

  • Want to invest in YOU
  • Want to create a better life for yourself by fuelling your personal and professional development in a rich learning environment
  • Are seeking inspiration, advice and motivation
  • Want to learn from inspiring industry leaders to accelerate and support your career ambitions
  • Want to celebrate International Women’s Day with an uplifting community of awesome women
  • Are looking for a career change but not sure where to start – hear from women who have done it!
  • Want to access advice and support to help you overcome any challenge
  • Want tools and techniques to help you improve your health and wellbeing
  • Want to build your support network or your professional network
  • Want to learn how to thrive in all areas of your life

“I left feeling empowered. I will take action to be more resilient in the workplace and take ownership to recognise that I am the driver in my life. I am the youngest in my team so sometimes I feel like I am a fraud and shouldn’t be there, however I left the Rising Festival feeling like yes I do deserve to be there and it’s an achievement. So thank you for helping me recognise my achievements and to believe in myself.”

Who’ll be there?

The Festival attracts a global community with women from many different walks of life, and this year’s virtual format means you can make more connections and access rich insights from speakers and participants you might never come across in daily life.

Our speakers include innovators, corporate leaders, philanthropists, humanitarians, entrepreneurs, investors, change makers, and women who have achieved great heights who all want to give back by being part of this incredible festival.

We have designed the programme for you to pick and choose what you would like to attend across the five days by logging into our virtual platform. If you can’t make a live session you can watch the recorded session in your own time.

“I am so pleased I came to this years Rising Festival. Not only did I have a great opportunity to meet and listen to extraordinary and successful women, I have also made new connections throughout the day. Coming out of the Festival made me realise that being a woman is great and if they can do it…I can too!”
