Social Networking Event: Gender Insights & Chocolate Tasting
Join us for a relaxed evening in good company featuring Gender Insights expert Sigrid Fisher, along with wine, canapés and chocolate tasting with Cambridge’s favourite chocolate shop Chocolat Chocolat!
We are delighted to be joined by Sigrid Fisher, equality, diversity and inclusion expert who will be sharing insights on gender and identity in her short talk; ‘Speaking up for our true selves’.
As women, our identities matter. The labels used to define us can be imposed, gendered, value-laden, restrictive – more about what we do (often for others) and how we are judged, than about who we are, our authentic selves.
How we talk about the moments of our lives that shape us has a profound impact on our sense of belonging and our wellbeing. Making time for honest and open self-reflection gives us the opportunity to write our own narrative, to be empowered by the pieces of ourselves that make us unique.
“I am not defined by what other people think of me. My opinion of myself is what matters.”
During this event, you will also have the opportunity to indulge during our chocolate tasting session where you will learn and taste some delicious chocolates by Chocolat Chocolat.
You’ll be welcomed with wine and canapés.
Come with your friends, colleagues or alone. As with all our events, our events are relaxed and informal, and are a great way to make new connections and friendships.

About Chocolat Chocolat: Since it opened in 2009 Chocolat Chocolat can’t claim to have the same long history as the rest of the city, but the shop and it’s range of luxury chocolates are steeped in the traditions of the independent chocolatier. On most days you can look through the shop window and see one of their chocolatiers making their famous sheet chocolate right in front of your eyes. If you take a few steps inside and the smell of chocolate will immediately take you back to the traditional chocolate shops of years gone by, but brought up to date. Our chocolatier learnt her craft in Paris and Belgium, but she scours the world for exciting chocolates and flavours, always looking for tastes that excite the palette. Coming from a Fashion background she believes that chocolate should look as good as it tastes and she ensures that our range of gifts look as good as they taste and are a perfect gift.
